The run

Trail report

The Lillooet River road starts at the edge of Pemberton and climbs deep into the Coast Mountains along one of BC's most scenic valleys, threading through mossy old-growth cedar and crossing the braided river.

Side spurs lead to hot springs, turquoise lakes, and fishing holes, with free recreation sites dotted along the main road for overnighting.

This is an active logging road, so travel with your radio on, yield to trucks, and check the current road report before heading up. The last stretch is rough enough that high clearance earns its keep.
