Trail report
Highway 734, better known as the Forestry Trunk Road, is a vast, unpaved corridor running parallel to the Rocky Mountains. The southern section is famous for its wide-open skies and isolation.
It is an easy gravel route suitable for any overland build, though road conditions can deteriorate into heavy washboarding and potholes after logging activity or rain.
It provides endless opportunities for side-trips onto more challenging 4x4 trails, and countless spots for crown land camping nestled against mountain creeks.
