Saskatoon Island Provincial Park sits along the northern shore of Saskatoon Lake, 21 km west of Grande Prairie near Wembley.
Established in 1932 as one of Alberta's original provincial parks, it protects a unique island-like landform rich in native saskatoon berry bushes and boreal forest.
The campground offers over 100 power and water serviced campsites, paved cycling paths, and a world-renowned federal bird sanctuary for nesting Trumpeter swans.
