About this campsite

Marten River Campground is the flagship frontcountry facility in Lesser Slave Lake Provincial Park, located 28 km north of the town of Slave Lake along Highway 88. Nestled within a mature boreal pine forest, the campground features 110 sites, with a mix of power-serviced RV pads and unserviced wooded loops.

The campground serves as an exceptional basecamp for overland travelers exploring Northern Alberta. Visitors enjoy direct access to natural sand beaches, freshwater fishing, extensive hiking and mountain biking trails, and the nearby world-class Boreal Centre for Bird Conservation.

All sites are 100% reservable through Reserve Alberta Parks during the peak summer operating season. Facilities include free showers, laundromat, sani-dump, firewood sales, and an on-site store stocked with essentials and ice cream.

Incredible northern park with wide, private campsites under huge pines. The beach is top-tier and the shower house was spotless.
