Racehorse Pass / Bob Creek Node - Livingstone PLUZ

Racehorse Pass and the adjacent Bob Creek Wildland node lie in the heart of the Livingstone PLUZ along the rugged Eastern Slopes of the Canadian Rockies. Accessed via Highway 940 (Forestry Trunk Road) north of Coleman, this high-country corridor ascends toward the BC border through mountain passes.

Camping is restricted to designated public land camping nodes to protect sensitive alpine tundra and watersheds. The terrain demands robust 4x4 vehicles with high clearance and all-terrain tires, rewarding overland travelers with vistas of the Livingstone Range and Crowsnest Pass.

A Public Land Camping Pass is required. Visitors must carry bear spray and bear-proof food storage containers, as grizzly bears actively frequent this corridor. No pit toilets or potable water are present at dispersed nodes.
