About this campsite
James-Wilson PRA is located 40 km west of Sundre along the unpaved Forestry Trunk Road (Hwy 734), managed in partnership with Friends of the Eastern Slopes.
Featuring 17 unserviced first-come, first-served campsites tucked into pine and spruce woods between James River and Wilson Creek, it is a favorite for dual-sport and overland rigs.
Includes a historic stone cook shelter fireplace, trout fishing access in James River, and immediate connections to Bighorn PLUZ backcountry trails.

Quiet, rustic, and scenic. The stone fireplace in the cook shelter is awesome, and sleeping by the James River was pure relaxation.
