Illecillewaet Campground is located in the high-alpine Selkirk Mountains near Rogers Pass, 3 km off Trans-Canada Highway 1.
Surrounded by old-growth hemlock forest and rushing glacial streams, it offers 60 unserviced campsites steeped in mountaineering history.
Acts as the birthplace of North American climbing, providing direct trailhead access to Glacier Crest, Hermit Trail, Abbott Ridge, and Glacier House ruins.
