The spot

About this campsite

Hale Creek Recreation Site sits on a secluded gravel beach along the western shore of Harrison Lake, famous across the BC overlanding community.

Maintained in partnership between the Four Wheel Drive Association of BC (4WDABC) and Rec Sites & Trails BC, the site features a timber cook gazebo, pristine beach campsites, and boat access.

The spur road descending from Harrison West FSR involves steep rock steps, cross-ditches, and loose shale, making a true 4x4 vehicle with low range, all-terrain tires, and recovery gear essential.

One of the best overland spots in the Lower Mainland. The 4x4 trail down is fun, the beach is clean, and the gazebo built by 4WDABC is top notch.
